The Village of Suffern (hereinafter sometimes referred to as “Village” or “Suffern”), is a municipality located in the northwestern portion of Rockland County in the lower Hudson Valley, bordering in part on New Jersey, approximately 13 miles northwest of the Mario M. Cuomo (formerly Tappan Zee) Bridge. The Village is seeking a new Village-wide Comprehensive Plan pursuant to NYS Village Law §7-722, for the purposes of long-term land use planning and zoning analysis consistent with the suburban nature of existing uses throughout the Village.
